HIRE THE ROSE BARN

​

Available to hire for treatments, classes, workshops, retreats, circles etc in the way of the rose, as well as a B&B for your own private stay over,  from anything from one hour to half a day, a day, overnight, a week... Please note that this is availability dependant & pre booking is essential as this is a private space

​

Downstairs there is a large simple room with eco cork flooring and cork mats, bare plaster & wood walls, glass bifold doors facing east. Upstairs there is a beautiful rose goddess temple room. Both rooms fit around 8 perfectly and up to max 12 at squeeze (come and veiw)

 

There is also an additional mezzanine chill / king bed area, another downstairs super king bedroom, as well as kitchen & bathroom all with underground filtered spring water from the tap. Outside there is a fire pit and space for extra camping.

 

It is a relaxed peaceful atmosphere in a family smallholding, an alcohol-free zone, and smoking outside only. ​

 

This is the first time this private sacred space is being let in this way, for like minded people in a relaxed way, in the way of the rose. Slowly slowly unfolding...

MAIN ROOM ​

The main downstairs room works as a simple, down to earth, peaceful and relaxed space, with eco cork flooring, antique benching for seats or altars, and takes 8 beautifully lying down (up to max 12 at a squeeze). There are large bifold glass doors across the entire front wall of the room that fold fully open & facing east over a wild garden and silver birch circle. This is a beautiful light room with great acoustics, available to hire on its own for your classes

GODDESS ROSE TEMPLE ​

Upstairs in the Rose Barn you will find the Goddess Rose Temple room with goddess altar, sheepskins, wood burner & little selenite crystal water fountain, with space for around 8 in circle and 2 Indian day beds (there is also a teeny tiny cupboard bedroom but note this bed is literally a tiny room with a skylight & double bed & has no opening windows so is only suitable for occasional use). Please note that on hot summer days the rose room gets too hot to use in the day time (but gorgeous in the evening). The tin roof in this space also means it is noisy in here in the rain. This very sacred space has been used for goddess temple ceremonies and holds a very sacred energy and is open to those who respect the Goddess ways.

MEZZANINE

upstairs overlooking the main room with the light of the front opening windows and (non opening) lovely skylights is a small area with sofas and a king bed for daytime relaxing and/or sleeping (sleeps one couple)

MAIN BEDROOM ​

The main bedroom is downstairs off the yoga room, it has a rustic glamping type feel with bare concrete floor, rugs, a super king velvet bed and 2 indian day beds (ideal for a couple)

OTHER FACILITIES ​

Downstairs the Rose barn also has a well equipped small kitchen  and bathroom with bath and shower. The water is sourced from an underground spring.

OUTSIDE ​

Once a sculptor's studio, sitting on the concrete deck next to the polished marble sculpture of a cumulus cloud, you overlook a wild private garden rich in bird song, with 3 silver birch, space for extra camping and a fire area. The private garden is at the far end of a small quiet rural hamlet, so there are a few houses nearby. It is part of a family home on private land with shared parking (space for 5 cars or lift sharing), so it has a homely feel. It is off road, but there are neighbours with a smallholding & chickens in the adjoining field. You do not have to see anyone if you want total privacy but you may hear a land rover drive past occasionally stashing wood, feeding chickens, usually in the daytime or mornings, that sort of thing. ​

LOCATION ​

Cycle or taxi from totnes. Walking distance across bridal paths to ben's farm shop one way, and riverford field kitchen the other. Also walking to river dart swim spots, staverton playing fields (with tennis court), steam railway, staverton & landscove pubs, dartington village ameneties including foods, shops, music venue & somewhere sauna, as well as dartington hall and its cinema & other facilities (cafes, pub, events). Further afield by car you can access south devon coastal path and beaches as well as dartmoor, and the market town of totnes or ashburton.

A SACRED SPACE​

The Rose land & Barn has been consecrated as a sacred Way of the Rose temple space, a way of the goddess and nature, but is open to welcome all spiritual seekers, faiths & spiritual paths. The main room has been primarily dedicated to masculine deities of the rose such as Vishnu ramayana (Bababji Krishna Rama) with the presence of Yeshua along with Native American and Egyptian guides, amongst others. The Goddess Rose Temple space upstairs has been blessed with energies of Mary Magdalene, Aphrodite and other feminine guides and goddesses like Lakshmi. All are welcome, whether this resonates for you or not, but please respect that this is a place intended for spiritual rejuvenation and way of the rose vibrations.
